Michelle Keller is a seasoned art director & graphic designer who knows what she likes and dislikes. Her design sensibility is smart, sexy, provocative, bold, and simple. With over two decades of experience, Michelle has earned a reputation for crafting distinctive visual solutions for leading brands across industries.
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Michelle has carved out a space for herself as a curator of ideas and believes that good design is the answer to everything. She approaches every project with the same mix of passion, curiosity, and creativity, believing that you need input for output and never accepting “no” as an answer.
Before graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts, Michelle was hired at Simon & Schuster Publishing, where she put her ideas on the covers of books across various genres. Following her time there, her talent quickly caught the eye of another S&S—Saatchi & Saatchi Rowland, an advertising and public relations agency. However, her career truly took off in 2001 when she joined the Advertising & Marketing Department at Bloomingdale’s Department Store. Thriving in this fast-paced environment, Michelle honed her skills as an Art Director, managing multiple projects simultaneously all while setting industry trends with fresh concepts.
The experience gained from these diverse sectors within the creative industry provided Michelle with the skill set needed to enter the freelance world. She has worked with an impressive roster of clients, including Laird & Partners and Victoria’s Secret. Her keen eye for detail and ability to translate ideas into compelling visual narratives made her a sought-after partner for brands looking to expand their creative output.
As co-founder and partner of PlanetFab Studio in New York City, Michelle has built a creative playground where she can push the boundaries of design without limitations. Her work has garnered recognition from the design community, earning her awards from Print Magazine and the Art Directors Club.
